Sorry to hijack your blog comments but I don't know your e-mail and I wasn't sure if you still read the comment thread on my linux post.
I looked at the mods-enabled folder, and both php5.conf and php5.load are both symlinked correctly to mods-available.
Any idea what I could try next? Might be simpler if we take this conversation to e-mail.
