I’ve tried to recommend The Lounge Lizards or Medeski, Martin and Wood to people before, but they seem to be too hard to follow or understand for them.

It’s like Thelonious Monk in the 50’s or Frank Zappa in the 60’s, artists that are so ahead of the curve that the majority of the population just doesn’t get it.
