Kotor II

I finally finished kotor2.

I lost interest ages ago when I was playing a female character because I got a really crap party member. Took ages to get around to restarting it. I had to forget it enough that I wasn’t too bored.

I really wish they’d had a chance to finish it properly. I think it was a much better game the kotor1. The ending was fantastic, and it wasn’t even tied up properly. It really makes me wonder what they could do if they had the proper resources. Once again it gets me thinking about Neverwinter Nights 2.

Obsidian I love you. I hope you get a chance to make a third kotor.

They really explore the nature of the force. The movies never did that.

Games to look out for

This coming year is going to be a good one for gamers.

A lot of great games are coming out, not to mention two new next gen consoles (not my thing though).

Games to look out for:

  • Tomb Raider: Legends, looks like it will return to it’s roots while getting rid of all the parts people hated.
  • Guild Wars: Factions. More guildwars goodness.
  • Auto Assault. I’ve been playing this during the Penny Aracade beta weekend. It’s a lot of fun and should get better closer to release, you can see where it needs polish but it’s not too much. Reminds me of the first Guild Wars beta weekend.
  • And… Most importantly Neverwinter Nights 2. This I’m tipping for game of the year. We need this game.

Horray for Martina Hingis!!

I hope she wins the Australian open. She played against Stosur on monday. After she won she was getting her stuff together from her chair, she gave the cutest wink and thumb up to the camera I’ve ever seen.

Then when they replayed match highlights they finished up with the wink in slow motion. It will be in Australian Open tv ads for years to come.

I’m very impressed that she just looks like she has so much fun playing tennis. Ahhhhhh…

I finished Fear the other day.

It has a very freaky story. Fantastic game, I highly recommend it. I hope they make a sequal.

I give it 9.5/10

Animal Crossing

I took a risk and bought Animal Crossing : Wild world the DS. I’m not sure what I think of it so far.

I’m not sure there’s enough in it to keep me interested, but I wanted to at least try it. Problem is one of the most interesting parts is the wifi connection where you go visit friends worlds or invite friends to your town. But you need to have friends already that you can invite. I don’t know anyone else with a DS.

Well I’ve spent a bit of time with it. It’s rather fun after all, even though there really seems to be no point to it at all. It is kind of fun seeing how the town turns out. If perchance anyone is actually reading this who has animal crossing, give me a buzz and maybe we can visit each other’s towns.

wordpress geekdom

I’m trying out the K2 wordpress 2.0 theme. I like it so far.

Some day I’ll get around to making modifications to it.

I’m also experimenting with the anti spam thingi with wp2.0. So for now I’m opening comments on new posts to see how much spam I can collect.
