We all gathered together at 8am and moved all the stuff in J’s flat to another one by 1.30pm. Pretty good time.
I think we set a family record.
The next day we all felt like elastic bands that had been stretched and just let go. Walking sucked.

Nectarines are tasty

I re-enrolled finally, after wrestling with the university beaurocracy.
2 classes next semester.
In related news, I am moving into a college resisdence next year. ie. Living at the Uni.
That should be interesting. It’s like I found a great big wooden spoon I can mix things up with.
Mix the melting pot.
Wordpress 2.0 rc3 is out. I think I’ll wait till it goes final.
I was listening to ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) Classic FM Radio today.
The very eloquent presenter said (can’t remember the exact words):
“Here is a memo to all employees from the administration about employee conduct during the christmas period
1. Do not feed alfoil into the paper shredder to make tinsel.
2. Do not use the push button phone to play jingle bells.
3. Do not file work requests under Bah-Humbug.”
(starts the scheduled classical music)
I like how they add these in with a completely straight face (so to speak).
I love the ABC.
J’s moving soon, gotta drive the truck.
Hopefully I can move too.
I somehow doubt I could get a spot at the uni collage. They want a fucking academic reference, and a personal one.
I don’t think I could get either of those.
Personal one, because I don’t know anyone.
Academic because I’ve fucked around my course so much.
I guess I could apply anyway. I might go to them tomorrow and ask about it.
On another note.
I’m struggling to feel like the air around me is fresh. Everything feels thick and still. I hate not having anything to do. I’m not sure if that’s a new thing or not. Probably not.
Too much sleep probably.
[edit] strangely I get people occasionally coming to this site after searching yahoo for how to crack PoP’s starforce stuff. You have come to the wrong place for that sort of shenanegans, you want to go here. Babelfish may come in handy. It’s a mini image, don’t ask me how to use it. Gamecopyworld might have it by now too. [/edit]
I rented out Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones to see what it was like.
I guess I really didn’t give it much of a chance, but I’m very dissappointed.
Firstly it uses Starforce, which always pisses me off. More and more invasive copy protection. What’s wrong with a cdkey?
I understand the need for games to be able to run offline and protect their money. But there’s got to be a better way. One with less hardware incompatibilities. The sony rootkit on their music cd’s seems very similar to me, albiet worse.
Fully online games like guildwars don’t have this problem because you are buying an account not the cd.
Anyway once I got into the game, I was irritated to find that it’s designed pretty much around consoles. It’s a cheap port. They recommend you use an analog controller on your pc. I was using the keyboard, but all the in game tips tell you to use the “right analog stick to look” bla de bla.
Basically it was shoddy controls. Sands of time ran much smoother, and I felt looked better. I couldn’t help but feel it looked very blocky. I thought the Jade engine was better then that. *shrugs*
I’m sure it’s a great game once you get into it. But seeming as I only rented it, I didn’t want to have to work at it.
If I had a ps2 I’d consider it. ah well.
