Guild Wars review

I’ve been playing guildwars for ages now, so a review of it is very belated. Yet I was looking at the ebgames website and was pissed off with the empty “This is great I love it!”, and “This is boring clone shit” reviews. Really how the hell is that informative? If you’ve nothing to say that tells people what the game is actually like, why the hell would you bother?
Ah well I guess people just want to express eh. Anyway I posted a review of my own, and figured I’d replicate it here for achives’ness.

Here I use the more thingi, so it dosen’t fill the page to much. My first more thingi! woo.

Dutch Masters

I saw the Dutch Masters exhibition at the gallery today. ’twas great. I was bloody tired though from next to no sleep last night though.
Last night I saw the Australian Ballet’s production of sleeping beauty. It was indeed as fabulous and spectacular as I hoped. Though the were monotonous parts where they took care to give everyone a solo.
The Queen of Winter was deliciously evil, brilliant dancer.
The white cat was very very sexy ;)

urgle take 3

I don’t think I’ll ever get around to posting about diana wynne jones novel’s, so I’ll let it drop.
But basically she’s an awesome read.
I’ve been inspired and started a story.
My sis has started a great one too, very impressive that she is.

more on urgle

Well I didn’t do anything productive this afternoon. which worries me.
Instead I watched an old Star Trek: Next Gen, read more of the Scarey Go Round archives, and played some guildwars. They’ve made a ton of improvements to guildwars, most importantly I can fiddle with my build as much as I want now without having to collect skill refund points. Great for the casual player such as myself. Maybe I’ll try and finish it now. I doubt I’ll get to the end with henchmen only though. I need some pc recruits.

So that’s a weird turn..

Anyways..

Mostly this week and last I’ve been reading books. Books by the fabulous author Diana Wynne Jones to be precise.
I’ll need more time to sort all this out in my head first. She is brilliant though. I wish I’d read her books when I was a kid. It’s really hard to explain how good she really is, but I’ll try soon.

but now.. it’s time for bed.

urgle..

I’ve had tons to write about in the last week and a bit.
I just can’t really think how to get it out.
I’ll make an effort to get something out tonight.

a common misconception

Ton’s of people seem to be calling the recent ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ movie, ‘Willy Wonker and the Chocolate Factory’. Which is just wrong!!
Not really sure why I care… I liked the movie anyways.
